Walking

Jackson is WALKING! He started walking about 2 weeks or so ago. He loves to just explore and find new things. Mostly things that he shouldn't be touching. He is just so much fun! He is going to turn 1 on Saturday. I can't believe it. You know when they say it seems like yesterday... Well seriously It seems like yesterday he was just born! I am in awe that a year has already gone by. It is just crazy to think that I have been a mom for almost one year. It has just been filled with lots of laughs. Last year at this time I was over due and couldn't wait to meet my little man. We are excited to celebrate his birthday this weekend. I will be sure to post asap so everyone can see my cute 1 year old.

Family Photos

This past week we went down to the beach to visit my oldest sister Carole Ann, and her family! We only have the whole family together a few times a year so when we do we try to get family pictures in. Here is my whole family! Aren't we cute. We had so much fun in VA Beach. The water was perfect, and the waves were awesome! Can't wait until we can go back again!

Before we moved to our new home me and Jackson would sit at the front door and wait for daddy to come home from work. This is Jackson waiting for daddy!

I am in the process of getting our new house all unpacked and pretty before I take pictures and post. We are almost done! It def feels like home here now.

Jackson's first trip to the Beach!

Jackson's first beach trip was an experience. Our little family went down to VA beach two weekends ago with Jordan's Mom and sister Danie. We had a lot of fun there. Jackson LOVED the sand and wanted to throw it everywhere.

We also went on a bike ride on the board walk, ate yummy burgers with crab cakes on top, had ice cream, and laughed a ton. Here are some pics of the bike ride!

I don;t know if you can tell in the picture but the shrubs spell out love!

We are having so much fun this summer with my brother David, and Jordan's sister Danie here. I have to keep remembering to take pictures so I can show the blog world our fun adventures.

Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day with Jordan. I surprised Jordan with Breakfast in bed. Then we gave him his gift. A new Hammock! We have been wanting one for a while now so I decided to get him one. Here is my boys opening it up!

ZZZZZzzzzzzzz

We have broke Jackson...Well I think we have? Last Friday Jordan and I decided we need to sleep, well at least I needed to sleep through the night. Wait I mean Jackson needed to sleep through the night so WE could sleep through the night. Yeah that's better. We had tried some stuff before but nothing really worked because I couldn't just let him cry, the we tried the go in every so many minutes..that just made it worse. So we just decided to rock him to sleep, then when he wakes up we are not getting him.

The first night was interesting. He slept for a few hours then at 1am he woke up and cried for an hour. Then he stopped crying, but he wouldn't lay down. He just sat up in his crib until 5am. I went in there to check on him and couldn't believe he was still sitting up. I felt so bad so I picked him up and he fell right asleep.

Night number two we did the same thing. I was really worried he was going to do this sitting up thing again but he didn't. He cried for 15 minutes around 12:45 then at 3 I went to see what he was doing and he was passed out. LYING DOWN! thank goodness.

Night number 3 was even better. He didn't wake up at all. And same for night 4. Night 5 he did wake up but he put himself back to sleep rather quickly. So I am hoping this is it and we have broken this kid!

I came home from teaching my class Monday evening and this is what I found..so cute.
