Due Date

Well my baby has officially been cooking for 40 weeks! Today is my due date, and guess what...no baby. Surprise surprise? Not really. I have been walking, doing the elliptical, and even taking step aerobics to try to get this baby out and nothing! He is so content in there. Maybe if I unpack my hospital bag, and take the car seat out of the car he will decide to come. :) ha. I went to the doctors yesterday and nothing...still not dilated at all. I have a appointment for Thursday to get an Amniotic fluid test, and a non stress test done. Apparently after your due date the fluid can decrease so they need to check it. If it has decreased they will induce me that night! AH. I'm not really worried though. I'm sure he will be extra late. If he is not here by the 24th I will go in that night to the hospital and be induced the morning of the 25th. Lets cross our fingers I don't have to wait another week though. I will be taking long walks everyday! Maybe a few squats :)

Today is my last day of work as well. It is weird starting my maternity leave with out a baby. We decided that it would be best for me to have a few days to rest before he comes. I hope I don't get bored. I will probably end up cleaning everything again, or just going shopping. That sounds fun!

I need to find a baby blessing outfit too. I have tried searching online and am haven't had much luck. All you mom's where did you get your outfit to bless your baby in? I need help! I wish I was out in Utah it would probably be so much easier. Let me know if you have suggestions as to where to look.

Well hopefully the next time I post I will be introducing my little man to you. (Keep fingers crossed!!)

39 weeks

Here I am at 38 weeks and 5 days. Now I am 39 weeks and ready to go!

We had a fun weekend this past weekend! We were with my family. Friday night we hung out with our old neighbor's the Quinn's. It was a lot of fun to see them and hang out. Saturday we went up to Baltimore to have dinner with my sisters in-laws. Yummy Yummy food this weekend I must say!

And Jordan hung up almost all our pictures this weekend and we finished the last little bit of organizing for the new place. It's really starting to feel like home. We just need to add a baby in there and I think we will be set. :)

My last day of work is my due date the 16th. I decided that if he is not here by then..(Which is likely) I should stop working so I can rest for a few days before they have to induce me. My doctor said that if he is not here by the 16th then they are only going to let me go a week over. So I can wait up until the 23rd which I think we will do. Induction is not my first choice so I want to wait as long as I can. Also our Anniversary is on the 22nd and that would be our one last Hoorah before we add another addition to our family. I think that would be kind fun to celebrate 3 years and then the next day have a baby!!

Wicked

On Tuesday my mom and sisters went to see Wicked at the Kennedy Center in D.C. It was so much fun. Ever since high school I have wanted to see this play! I knew all the music. I even made my roommates in college listen to it, and then they got to see the play before me! FINALLY I was able to see it. And it was and is AMAZING! I want to go see it again. Now that I know the story the music totally makes more sense. The story is so entertaining and interesting. I loved it, and so will you. If you ever have the chance to see it, it is definitely worth it. Here are some pictures of the night!
Laura and Jenney waiting to see the show!
We love Wicked!
Before the show started this was the stage.
Waiting anxiously

I have been singing the songs all week and can't get them out of my head! I ran home and told Jordan everything about the play. Haha so if he ever sees it I probably ruined it for him but oh well. I was way to excited not to tell him everything! And besides...he asked!

Baby Shower

Last Saturday my mom, mother-in-law and dear friend Kathleen threw me a baby shower! It was so much fun! I wanted to share the experience in some pictures! This picture above is me at 36 weeks and Carole Ann at 22 weeks.

This is the dessert table. Isn't the diaper cake so cool!

The Premont Girls

Me and my awesome co-worker Lena. She was the one who threw me the surprise shower at work!

One of my Best Friends Kathleen. She is such a great friend to help me mom out! She also threw my bridal shower. She is good at this stuff!!!

Baby Update: I had my 36 week appointment today. The baby is still head down. The doctor checked my cervix and said I am not dilated at all! :( that's okay I still have 4 weeks until my due date. She said she could feel the baby's head though. Crazy! His heart beat was 155. So really strong! I am measuring normal and she is estimating he is about 5 1/2-6 pounds right now. She said she is guessing he will be average size! Yay

Move Update: We moved into our new town home last Friday. We didn't actually move anything down there. We painted the baby's room, and our room. It was fun to do that project together but Oh man! I did not think it would take so long! I am so happy it is all done. We have everything in our apartment pretty much all packed up. We are moving everything out on Saturday. So I guess the official move will be Saturday. I am excited to get settled into our new home! I will post pictures of the new place asap!!!

Surprise Baby Shower

Last Thursday my co-worker Lena planned an amazing surprise baby shower for me at work! It was so sweet of her. She asked me on Wednesday if she could get a ride home from work because her parents needed her car. And to thank me she wanted to treat me to frozen yogurt from the cafe upstairs at work. When we walked upstairs there were SO many people sitting in the cafe, and I just happened to know all of them from the fitness center. I honestly just thought they were all eating lunch together....but then a huge SURPRISE came out! I was so taken back I almost started to cry! My face turned bright red and I of course started to get really nervous and sweat! haha that has been a big pregnancy symptom for me is getting reallllly warm and sweating when I talk to people. Anyway that's for a different time. It was so sweet of everyone to come and surprise me like that. I love all the members here at the Westat Fitness Center! They are so good to me, and Jordan and I (and baby) got a lot of great gifts. We are so appreciative of the generosity of other people and thank them so much for helping us! That baby shower totally made my day! I was too excited after work that I couldn't take my usual 3 hour nap. I stayed up and read all the cards again, and looked through all the gifts! It was so fun to tell Jordan and show him all the great stuff we had gotten. My co-worker has lots of pictures I am just waiting for them so hopefully I can post those soon. (I look so gross in all of them because I had been up since 5am and decided I really didn't need make-up or fix my hair that day. and since it was right after I got off of work I am still in my work clothes so I'm wearing a really frumpy outfit.) haha kinda funny actually

This weekend my mom, mother-in-law and good friend Kathleen are throwing me another baby shower. I am so excited and can't wait to see everyone. It's going to be lots of fun. A little less than 5 week and our little boy will be here! I can't wait.

We are moving into our new townhome this weekend. I am so excited because our apartment is so messy from packing. Boxes everywhere!! We won't be moving completely out until the 23rd but at least we can take some stuff down this weekend and clear some room to create more messes. We are also painting the babies room on Friday and finally getting his room set up! It will be a fun project for Jordan and I.

I will make sure to take lots of pictures this weekend to show everyone!

Maternity Photos

We took some maternity photos a few weeks ago. It was fun...really hot outside but we had a good time. Here are some shots that I liked. Enjoy!

Baby Update: I had my 34 week check up yesterday. Everything is great. His heart beat is still strong and I am measuring normal. There was some question at my 32 week apt that he might be breech so they took a quick ultra sound and his head is down so we are ready to go! The doctor told me I should keep teaching my classes/exercising as long as I can. As long as I am not having preterm contractions or bleeding she thinks I should keep it up. She said my labor will be that much easier...thats what I am going for!

4th of July: We had a great 4th. We went down to D.C. with my family. Usually it is a nightmare getting in and out of DC but it really wasn't that bad. We only like 10 miles outside of the city but still we found parking just fine. Only a few blocks from the Capital which was where we watched the show and fireworks. There were lots of stars preforming for the Capital show. Matthew Morrison (Mr. Shoe from GLEE) Jordan Sparks, Mark Ballas and Cheslsea Hightower (Dancing with the stars) Steve Martin...and more I just can't remember all of them. It was fun and the fireworks were beautiful. Half way during the firework show Jordan looked at me and asked me if I had his wallet. I told him no and we started to panic. We knew he had it when we were watching the show because he took it out to give his sister some money. We were searching our area like crazy. My mom, dad, sister, his mom, and sisters were all looking everywhere. I mean it's dark, and there are people everywhere. Then his sister Danie says are you sure it's not in your pocket. And I felt his side pocket on his cargo shorts and there it was....JORDAN! We were all relieved but couldn't believe it was just in his pocket! So Check you pockets next time hubby.

Moving

Well it is official we are moving. Not too far though. We are staying in the general area. We found a town home down in Woodbridge,VA. If any of you know that area we are pretty much around the corner from Potomac Mills Outlet mall. The sad thing is we will have to move out of our ward. :( I was sad about this. We tried so hard finding something in our ward boundaries but had no luck. We needed something bigger and not more expensive and that isn't possible in Fairfax county. I will miss our ward so much but we won't be that far away. And I figured that I can still hang out with all the new mom's in the Annadale ward when you all get together. I'll just drive myself and my little man up to you...if you don't mind me intruding. :)

The good news is we did it!!! We found something bigger and less expensive! We will be in a 3 bedroom town home! It's super cute. The neighborhood was build in the 70's so it a bit older on the outside but the inside is newly renovated and it meets our needs. We can move in on July 15th so we are gonna paint the baby's room that weekend! We don't have to be out of our apartment now until the 22nd so we will still be living up in Fairfax until then so I don't have to have such a long commute to work. I am really excited though to finally be able to start on the baby's room. Everyone at work has been asking me if the room is finished and it's really funny to see there face when I say no..I haven't even started. I don't think it will take that long though. Or am I completely kidding myself?
